Ohana means community

Updated: Mar 11, 2020

It's true that Ohana literally means "family", and one way we choose to live like family is by supporting our community. Of course you're familiar with the delicious shave ice and unmatched customer service, but did you know that an Ohana fundraiser can be a delicious way to raise money for your non-profit organization?

Ohana Fundraisers

Since opening in 2018, Ohana Hawaiian Snow has been committed to giving back to the community by hosting on-site fundraising events. On select dates, we set up an event tent with tables and chairs for ball teams, youth groups, school organizations, and more to showcase their cause. Fundraisers are typically held on Tuesdays at our Paragould location. We will be opening up fundraising opportunities at our Jonesboro location in the very near future.

During these fundraising days, 100% of tips collected are given to the organization in addition to a percentage of the gross receipts from the day. Members of the group are encouraged to be present to display information, wear their uniforms, and promote their cause while Ohana's friendly staff does all the work. Of course the more supporters who show up on your group's fundraising day, the more money you'll earn, which is why the most important role of any group is to promote their big day to their supporters.

For groups such as schools with over 200 participants, there is the option of Ohana coming to you! We can set up virtually anywhere--indoors or outdoors, and raising money could not be more simple. It basically works by the organization setting a price per cup of shave ice and keeping half the gross sales as a donation.

Once we settle on a date, all your organization has to do is get the word out that Ohana is coming! This always gets everyone excited about the big day. And the more people that enjoy a shave ice, the more money the organization raises. It's truly a win/win--happy guests and more money for great causes.

Fundraising with Ohana is a breeze, lots of fun, and super yummy!

How it works

We've made the process super simple. Just follow these easy steps:

1. Visit our website to tell us about your organization and how we could help.

2. Settle on a date.

3. Get the word out!

4. Enjoy and get paid!

Groups Ohana Supports

There is a reason for the name Ohana. It means family, and that's what we're all about. We support organizations in our community in a variety of ways, including on-location fundraisers and in-kind donations. It is our primary objective to assist those that build up and strengthen families. For example:

K-12 Schools

Church Groups

Community Sports Teams

Local Non-Profit Groups

Food Assistance Programs

Children & Youth Organizations

If your request falls into one of these categories and meets our fundraising guidelines, we want to hear from you! Due to the large number of requests we receive, we cannot honor all of them, so the sooner you reach out, the better. We look forward to serving you soon!
